Intro Blog Post Assignment

Part 1 (you):

Write a brief informal introduction of yourself. Say whatever you’d like about yourself to us—your audience. Check out Anna's introductory post if you want some ideas about what to say about yourself.

Part 2 (the way you write):

Make a quick list of the kinds of writing you do most frequently – from texting to classes and beyond.

Then, select one kind of writing and describe it: how, when, and where do you do it? What do you write?

Now, think about your purposes for doing this specific kind of writing. Let yourself by analytical. Why do you choose to use writing in the particular way you described? What does this kind of writing do for you? What might this kind of writing get in the way of doing (or not)? How does this writing function in your life? How would your life be different without it? (You may choose which, if any, of these questions to address, and in what order you might want to do so.)

  1. I am Cora Howell. I would consider myself very outgoing and fun but yet very shy. I love snowboarding up on Baker, I have been doing it every year for six years now. It is an extremely expensive hobby but nothing on the world beats it. I also enjoy spending time with my 10 month old miniature pinscher puppy named Bentley. I would consider him and my boyfriend of 2 years, Ben Westdal, the two lights of my life. I do absolutely everything with them.

Most of the writing that I do consists of Facebook posts and text messages. I don't do much writing on anything else.

I can text and post to Facebook from anywhere thanks to the convenience of my iphone. I don't write much, just comment on people's status' and post my own. When I text, it's just basic conversation such as "How are you?" and "What are you up to?"

I don't think that my life would be the same without texting. That is my main way of talking to people right now. It is fast and easy for me to do.
